Three years after their controversial first meeting, Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito are back for a rematch on Saturday at New York's Madison Square Garden, with Cotto's WBA Super light middleweight title on the line.

Cotto suffered his first loss as a professional via an 11th round TKO to Margarito back in July 2008 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Cotto, however, believes Margarito cheated in their first fight, using the same illegal hand wraps he got caught with during his unsuccessful title defense against Shane Mosley in January 2009. On February 10, 2009, as a result of the illegal wrap scandal, Margarito's boxing license has been revoked for at least one year by the California State Athletic Commission.

Margarito Feared Eye Injury 

Last week, the New York State Athletic Commission has granted Margarito a boxing license in New York after a medical examination determined he was fit enough to fight, just over 12 months since he suffered a critical eye injury (a fractured right orbital bone and cataract) at the hands of Manny Pacquiao in November 2010.
