World No. 1 tennis player and defending champion Rafael Nadal takes on British fourth seed Andy Murray for a spot in the finals of the 2011 French Open. 

Nadal defeated fifth-seeded Robin Soderling of Sweden at the quarterfinals 6-4 6-1 7-6(3) to advance to the semifinal round. Murray, meanwhile, beat Argentinian Juan Ignacio Chela with a 7-6(2) 7-5 6-2 quarterfinal victory.
