Watch 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Opening Ceremony | Kick-Off Celebration Concert

The FIFA World Cup will be hosted by an African nation for the first time this year. The opening ceremony is scheduled on June 10, 2010 8:00PM local time (GMT +2, EST +7) at the newly-renovated Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.
FIFA will be staging a spectacular three-hour live concert to celebrate the kick-off, organized and produced by Emmy Award-winning producer Kevin Wall and his company Control Room. Billed as the greatest entertainment event to date in Africa, the 2010 FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert features top international and home-grown stars. Expected to perform are Alicia Keys, Amadou & Mariam, Angelique Kidjo, The Black Eyed Peas, BLK JKS, Hugh Masekela, John Legend, Juanes, K'NAAN, Shakira, Soweto Gospel Choir, The Parlotones, Tinariwen, Vieux Farka Touré, Vusi Mahlasela and Lira, as as well as football legends and celebrities from other fields.
Proceeds from the concert will be used for 20 Centres for 2010, a charity campaign dedicated to building twenty Football for Hope Centres for public health, education and football across Africa.
