The Coke Zero 400 has been known to yield a number of drivers' first career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victories including A. J. Foyt, Sam McQuagg, Greg Sacks, Jimmy Spencer, John Andretti and Greg Biffle. It also marked Dale Earnhardt's first points-paying victory at Daytona after 24 previous attempts from 1978-1990.
This year's race marks the 25th anniversary of Richard Petty's historic 200th victory and final NASCAR race in July 4, 1984 with President Ronald Reagan in attendance. Race-winning cars and other priceless artifacts documenting Petty's historic racing career will be put on display for race fans.
